On the shores of Ullswater and set within the 18 acres of Lake District National Park, Another Place, The Lake – from the team behind Watergate Bay Hotel – is a contemporary hotel inspired by its stunning location. Designed to enable guests to get as close to the breath-taking landscape as possible, it is now featuring in Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr on BBC Two.
A design contract to breathe new life into a space within the hotel and continue its ‘outside in’ design story, is up for grabs for the winner of the hit show, now in its second year and to be hosted by TV presenter and comedian Alan Carr.
Week-by-week ten talented, up and coming designers are battling it out for the exclusive prize in a range of design challenges under the watchful eye of Head Judge, former Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Decoration magazine, Michelle Ogundehin.
The winner of the eight-part series will curate colours and textures, style furniture and draw inspiration from the Lake District landscape to create a space at Another Place that embraces nature and evokes active, laidback living.
Another Place, The Lake CEO Will Ashworth says: “Interior design is at the heart of Another Place and is a continual part of our journey. Recently we have been working with Cornwall-based Dynargh Design to refresh some of our suites to make them more individual. We are excited to bring the show winner into our interior design collective, alongside Household and Joules”
