The Corby branch of Howarth Timber & Building Supplies has donated a large amount of materials to a deserving local family to support the BBC’s flagship renovation show, ‘DIY SOS: The Big Build’.
16-year-old Jordan Hutchinson and his family from Corby, Northamptonshire will be the focus of the episode after their family home was left uninhabitable from.
Jordan, who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy is a popular member of the Corby community, raising huge sums of money for local charities despite his own challenges. Receiving recognition for his efforts including the Courage Award at The Northamptonshire Achievement Awards following activity which generated £30,000 in funds which paid for two sensory rooms in a school for disabled children.
Local tradesmen and partners including Howarth donated supplies including doors and countertops to the project.
