Moores features on prime-time TV discussing back to business plans with BBC News

Leading kitchen manufacturer Moores Furniture Group welcomed BBC News into their Wetherby Headquarters for a behind-the-scenes feature on what they are doing to ensure a seamless return to business in the wake of COVID-19.

A socially distanced factory tour and series of interviews were filmed for the two-and-a-half-minute feature hosted by Spencer Stokes, Business Correspondent for BBC Look North. The segment, which aired on the BBC Evening News at 6.30pm on Friday 29th May, reported on the proactive role that Moores are playing in getting the housebuilder industry back to business. As a leading supplier for the UK house building industry and large employer in Yorkshire, Moores have set a high standard for business continuity and have also introduced several new health and safety measures for its workforce of over 500 people. 

Having spent a number of weeks intensively planning their reopening in consultation with health and safety specialists, industry colleagues, and government advice, on 11th May Moores proudly turned their factory lines back on. Many vital changes to the normal working environment have been introduced including PPE for staff, clear demarcation of internal and external walkways and daily mental and physical wellbeing checks.
